Kampos

Kampos is a village in the plain of Vatika. Located between Neapolis and Agioi Apostoloi and has been built near the mountain called Kokkinovrachos.

On the village square, next to the community Building and old school, there are traditional small cafes and near there is the royal rythmvillage's churchof Agios Dimitrios.

Archaeological discoveries in the region, such as graves, indicate that there was a settlement since ancient times and that was a passage from ancient Voies to Monemvasia. The village has about 500 people and has a modern primary school.

In the area of Agios Minas there is the homonymous Byzantine church and eastern are the old limestone quarries which fed with building material the whole area of Vatika. The Kokkinovrachos took its name from the characteristic red color of the rock which causes awe with the almost vertical surface as if a violent process divided the land at that point in the middle. Definitely a challenge for climbing.

Even further east is the small village of Kamari, Mesochori and the castle of Agia Paraskevi offering superb view over the plain and bay of Vatika. Through the village we move south to the beautiful beach of Neratziona.
